Meet The People

Gregory and Chris

Gregory is one of the founders of the modern day Translation Industry. He is also the founder and CEO of One Planet. An indomitable fighter for the integrity and clarity of each of our translation projects, he speaks fluent Russian, Polish and Italian.

Chris is our Director of Projects. This means that all our Project Managers report to him. He lives in a state of constant terror making sure that all our projects are done on time and on budget. To relieve stress he gets up at 5am to train for his hobby – competing in triathlons. He has qualified for the USA Triathlon Age Group Nationals. Not bad for a hobby!

Wendy Ruano

Just about every major US airline has outsourced heavy maintenance to countries such as El Salvador, China and Mexico. There are now more than 700 of these offshore repair facilities. But too often the instruction manuals are only in English. In the meantime service technicians who are supposed to know English often do not know it well enough to do the job right. Wendy wants to change all that. Currently, she is on a crusade to persuade Boeing and Airbus to begin translating their manuals on a regular basis.

Kaitlin Fisher

Kaitlin graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Interdisciplinary Japanese Studies and a minor in Linguistics. She has been to Japan several times and actually survived the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. Lucky us! What would we do without this problem solver?

Aline Zaretsky

Rwanda is a landlocked East African country whose green, mountainous landscape has earned it the nickname “Land of a Thousand Hills.” The country could only afford to support 500 scholarships in the United States, so the competition was fierce. Aline was one of those lucky 500 who won. In the United States she studied International Business with an emphasis on Accounting. She graduated Magna cum Laude, fell in love, got married, became an American citizen and stayed in the United States. She is fluent in French, English, Kinyarwanda and Swahili. Aline is an accomplished ballroom dancer. We love to see her dance Tango. Watch out “Dancing with the Stars”!

Clark Munson

Clark is one of those people who think everyone was born with a natural understanding of computers. This makes him in high demand around the office. As our Master Project Manager (the highest level of expertise in Project Management practices and techniques), he can advise you on the best way to install German voiceovers, how to insert Korean into a predominantly Arabic Power Point presentation and a score of similar “weird problems”. Besides, he is fluent in Japanese.

Megan Soukup

Megan graduated at the top of the class from Kent State with a Masters in Spanish Translation. Since graduation she has continued in that vein at One Planet. Today she supervises translation of complex technologies deployed in multimillion dollar, one-of-a-kind equipment. Megan is full of surprises: in her spare time she plays tuba.

Emily Brewer

Emily runs 10 – 15 projects every day and when she gets frustrated she speaks quickly and abundantly in Spanish. She also speaks fluent Photoshop, InDesign, FrameMaker, Microsoft Office, Studio, WorldServer, MemoQ and Plunet. We come to her when we need a Russian interpreter in Peoria pronto! Or when we have an unexpected need for an Estonian – Turkish translator. In her spare time, she tries to keep up with her two Siberian Huskies, Chewie and Leia, who she claims are also bilingual.

Luca Schonenberger

Who would think that a man with a name like Schonenberger is as Italian as they come? Luca lives and works in Rome. As One Planet Italia’s Project Manager he is fluent in IBM and HP technologies and associated terminology. In his spare time he is an avid photographer. There is a special word in Italian: Bravo. Bravo stands for: reliable, efficient, eager to please and ready to walk an extra mile. We think of Luca as BRAVO!

Elizabeth Wozniak

Liz is a proud alumnus of Allegheny College, where she was a Chinese Studies major. Her love of the Chinese language and culture led her across the globe to explore the world’s most populous country. She has brought her passion for language study to One Planet. She is your go-to gal for all things InDesign and Studio. Liz is a survivor. She lived through a bike vs car accident while living in Beijing and came out of it with flying colors. That experience made her ready to take on any challenge that would come her way.

Kimberly Snyder

After graduating with honors in International Studies, Kim managed multimillion-dollar agreements for Fortune 100 Companies and their global ocean shipping carriers. Then, she flew to Korea to teach English. It was quite the adventure considering she didn’t speak Korean when she landed in Seoul. Today she does and she also speaks three other languages. There is more, much more in that head besides the knowledge of foreign languages and a passion for cultures of the world. Thank you Kimberly for discovering us!

Project Managers

If you have recently graduated from college and if you speak at least one foreign language we would like to talk to you. Our project management principles and techniques differ from most other translation companies. For that reason we do not require any extensive experience in Project Management. We will train you. In fact, training at One Planet never stops. However, you have to move. That’s right; this is not a virtual position! You would have to move to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The responsibility of our Project Managers consists of assigning work to technical translators and editors located around the world and supervising work in progress. The people we are looking for must have highly effective English verbal and written communication skills. This cannot be overemphasized as we write emails, make calls and submit proposals to our clients all the time.

Sales Executives

One Planet is always seeking highly qualified Sales Executives. We are looking for people able to build strong relationships with prospective clients and maintain relationships with existing clients. This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to step into a financially stable, dynamic company.
